The plan

This is a Unique Alpine TPG-1, yes i'd never heard of it either. After the success of the WA2000 build earlier this year, I took a break and then started looking for another project. After ages of looking I finally found a gun I really like the style of and its not too complicated so I stand a chance of making a decent job of it. There is no airsoft replica of this weapon around so this should be a truly "unique" Unique alpine.......... i'll get my coat.

There are (as far as I can see) about 3 or 4 versions of this weapon, visit Unique Alpines website to see more of this gun. I will be making the version with black body (probably), polished silver barrel and probably the surpressor on the end.

Just a quick word to all the people that emailed me with their kind words on the WA2000 build, thank you all, your encouragement is well appreciated. Also to the many forums that most of you are members off, mainly ASCUK and Arnies

The Build

In true Candyman fasion the starting point is googling for as many pics as possible and then printing out the largest and adding dimentions based on the length. Before I even start I have to change a fairly major aspect of the gun, the stock and foregrip of the real gun are made from a composite material (metal covered in a plasticky fibre type composite i think) This sounds a little beyond me so I will be making them out of wood, it looks woody anyway so to make it out the real thing would be my preference. Plus it then I can see what it looks like in walnut before staining it black, obviously if it looks good in bare walnut, that is how it will stay.
